Red, Orange, Yellow, Grey, Balck and White
Pleates Are NOT My Friend.
So, part of having a BJD (Ball Jointed Doll) is that you get to make your own clothes for your doll or other dolls. So I am OK I need to get patterns started. I need to get my name out there. I need to get the experience in there. And heck, I made doll clothes before for barbies and Bennie Babies how difficult can it be.
Heads up it helps to have a $3,000.00 PFAFF machine to make this task less difficult.
The machine worked great at first sewing two layers just fine, and the foot lever is broken it seems that over the time and being in the heat it broke down the materials so it no longer worked. (Brings scary thoughts of doll being in heat and sun.) I double layer the material with the idea to make the pleats stiffer to hold better, and the material to not be so see through. I also shortly learned I didn't cut enough extra length. So the folds have to be adjusted to be wider, in doing so in it looks good at first but after wards it looks so much more like just a plain ruffle skirt. I even ironed the material to have the folds stay in place and it seems to only have made the material fade. Sad Face. And This is when I find out my sewing mach. is now fully acting up. Between bobbin tension too tight, Needle not going through 4 layers of fabric, and I using a denim and thick material needle. I just couldn't find my solution.
The Machine that I will find out what's wrong with it if it kills me.
The skirt partially finish on a furniture decor wire manikin SD size from Joanns. It works quite well.
Tips will help. I think I will be starting from scratch when my weekend starts.

New Doll, Random things, Chains and Coke
Well, Hello all yes I know it's a Twilight doll. I collect them XD. My sister surprised me today in purchasing her so not I only need Jacob, Alice, and the angry blonde vampire chick. But will they create more? Maybe Yes , Maybe No.
Then over here Mcdonalds, kids meals are promoting Build a Bear again so I've been picking up a few of these with help from coworkers ^-^.

| Ok Not Coke but Pepsie. I picked these up as a result for a holiday stocking stuffer. Each of these things are around SD, 1/3 doll size. Maybe a 2 liter for MSD. The pluss to these things I got one of each flavor for about $5.00 And they are Lip Balm. |

Project Rakura Lynn? Homecomeing?
The day after my birthday (11-25) I was able to get my first SD Doll, and this doll has been on my wishlist for about 6-7months to possibly even a year. I thank Tea for introduceing me to the hobby and now it's just going to get even more awesome from now.
What I order was the Afra doll with a swapped body of a female normal skin with a type 2 body. The reason I selected this was I wanted a mini me. ^-^ The one that I call Rakura Lynn. For many years exploring on the web I have created this massive Char that emotionally, is more like how I would like to be like. There is a long Story, but for now that will have to wait.
I am sure every BJD owner has went through this phase. "The Wait." I was checking my account to see if she shipped, I was lothing the idea what if she came with pink clothes. What if her hands were freaky akward, What if the boob look like barbie huge? All in all I was checking every day. After week into around the time the doll was suppose to ship I sent and email requesting an ETA. I got a nice response back that her hand was broken and the shipper was waiting for a new one, and since I've been waiting so long that he would throw in a free gift. Alright that is 1 doll, 1 outfit, 1 wig, 1 pair of eyes, 1 set of ears (the doll has magnetic ears), and 1 free item. Alright I can wait a little longer.
The wait was even more crazy when it shipped (1-3-12). I recall staying up one night translating Chinese char. to figure out where it shipped from and how long it would take to ship by water. (17 days) Fun right.
So it was now comming to "I wish my doll was here." well the day I said that, coming home from work I walked up to my door step. "Oh?" -insert little skip hop in the middle of unlocking the door and carrying the box in.
Notice the small nick in the box above the o in doll. I didn't think anything about it. So the final arrival time was 1-11-12 and my Hubby was at CES in Vegas. >.> so I waited till he came home to open it.

So Hubby came home the next day, it was late in the night but still did a small box opening video. (he was a little impatient.) and in the vid you can barely see it but a little piece of resin drops from the bubble wrap when I pick it up. The back head cap was located around that same O that I pointed out before and the result was a chipped latch piece that prevents the head from sliding. This was a little sad but still what all came with her was awesome. She came wrapped in her bathrobe wrapped with bubble wrap and then the pillow which is nice and silky plain white. She came with yellow eyes (don't really like but still awesome at the fact they are yellow),1 bathrobe white, 1 pair of pointed elf ears, 1 pair of drooping elf ears 1 pair of black striped socks with little lace at the top, knee high, 1 pair of hand warmers gray stripe, 1 gray ruffle skirt, 1 black, stripped, chained, patch, hoodie with cat ears ^-^, 1 fur wig black with silver highlights, 1 burgundy wig which sadly I think is too small for my doll for the fact that it didn't easily pop on and I was getting frustrated with the sliding of the back of the head cause it was broken., 1 picture card of the original Afra elf doll, and finally 1 B&G certificate. O.O that was a lot of stuff I liked very much.

Gabriel Hanging Around For X-Mas
Well I accepted a BJD ADDICTS CHALLENGE.
The Challenge just in short was to make a BJD out fit of what you would find on a tree. >.> Well Gabriel is just shy of 10cm tall. XD so I didn't have much I could work with on this one.

Items used: ribbon, hot glue gun, BJD Hujoo Baby Suve (Gabriel) , 1 large ornament, 1 bell, (1) 7.5 ft x-mas tree previously decorated, and a little dark string.

What cause the staining was the metallic red coloring on ribbon and bounty color print paper towel.

I Spy... A BJD FOX?
This here is the recently new Hujoo-Pet-Fennec Fox- Penny :
It was release around October 2011, where I could not resist and hand to purchased one. Shipping didn't take too long once it shipped out, and it game in a brown box with orange flower print on it, and with the doll it was wrapped in a flower like pillow that was placed inside a cute small purse-like bag. I ordered the full face up, this doll is made out of resin, and with the face up it comes airbrushed for the fur tones, paw pads, mouth detailed, and eyes detailed, with eyes (mine were a radiant blue color). The only thing I dislike about the doll when useing eye puty which Hujoo did with the doll. It tends to rub off on the neck line when turning the head and will rub the body paint off. Then also my Fox did a weird head tilt thing which was cool looking but it exposed a small gap from the side where the head rests.
I couldn't figure out a clever name for the fox, and decided to wait when I received her and it seem the name Penny was very well suited for this beautiful doll. Then I came up with a fun Photo snap shot thing called Penny Around The World, because she came with a carrying case so I thought it would be cool to take pictures in different locations with her.Gabriel seems to be fond of Penny too considering Penny runs around and plays tag in the woods with her.
Something tells me she telling secrets already.
